| 1. Blank File
[Tony Kakko]
It is your new best friend, new eye in your private den And you can find the world inside it every day They know what you did today, hear everything you say And when they send you mail, they know where you will go sometime next day
They know your life, they have a file about you They built your life, so they...
Know what you like and know what you yearn but they don't know a thing about me I'm not that easy, I'm blank file in their memory
Caught in the web again, inside your private den Where you can go to moon or meet some people you will never see You are a file in there, money in an open fair You're a slave among the slaves, waiting for future with a fear
They know your life, they have a file about you They built your life, so they...
Know what you like and know what you yearn but they don't know a thing about me I'm not that easy, I'm blank file in their memory
Still they try to take over, control my life, but no one can do it but me I'm not that easy, I'm blank file in their memory
Oh oh oh
Know what you like and know what you yearn but they don't know a thing about me I'm not that easy, I'm blank file in their memory
I am waiting, hoping and praying to see - how this - will end - when they go down
How can it be, that you cannot see what they are doing with thee You are a life, new file in their memory, now they
Know what you like and know what you yearn but they don't know a thing about me I'm not that easy, I'm blank file in their memory
Oh oh oh
How can it be, that you cannot see what they are doing with thee spending your time, living your life inside their machines there is one empty file, it is me

| 2. My Land
[Tony Kakko]
My own land has closed its gates on me All alone in world, it's scaring me
I am here to prove you wrong I'm accused to something I live for
In my dreamland, there's one who understands A friendly soul, trusting life in your hand
Yes, I gave it all I can Now it's invaded by a stranger
Keep in mind what you have heard today You might find that you are not so brave Are you man enough, carrying the load all alone When others have your own
My old land is but a pile of sand Cold and bare but something still is there
Yes, I gave it all I can Now it's invaded by a stranger
Keep in mind what you have heard today You might find that you are not so brave Are you man enough, carrying the load all alone When others have your own
I'm a (true) patriot, you are my land, you have my soul, you have all I had Now I am here, and I want it back
In my dreams, I climb the hills I see and let a gentle breeze lead me to plains I once have seen and Clear blue sky, I swim in lakes I find I build a house right there that you can't take, never take away
I am here to claim my land you can't keep me away, forever
Keep in mind what you have heard today You might find that you are not so brave
Are you man enough, carrying the load all alone When others have your own [2 times]

| 3. 8th Commandment
[Tony Kakko]
All those lies suit you. They are custom made to drive you out of reality. Lies are true for you. You know, what you do is reaching a point of insanity.
When you wake from your dream you know what is true? Ring of bell inside your head is playing with your mind
Remember to pray, and what the Bible says and you will live thru eternity You haven't hear of this? There is something you missed - That it will cost you so heavily.
You must sleep in the stinking bed that you've made When you're down where you belong hear what they say, yeah.
Stay for a while, stay forever. Sing for the times you are bound to betray. Run for your life, run forever, your eyes tell a lie and the liar must always die.
When you're done with him, you know where you have been, He will treat us all equally. Can you feel the fire burning
You must sleep in the stinking bed that you've made. When you're down where you belong hear what they say, yeah.
Stay for a while, stay forever. Sing for the times you are bound to betray. Run for your life, run forever, your eyes tell a lie and the liar must always die. [3 times]

| 4. Replica
[Tony Kakko]
I'm home again, I won the war, and now I am behind your door. I tried so hard to obey the law, and see the meaning of this all. Remember me? Before the war. I'm the man who lived next door. Long ago...
As you can see, when you look at me, I'm pieces of what I used to be. It's easier when you don't see me standing on my own two feet. I'm taller when I sit here still, you ask are all my dreams fulfilled. They made me a heart of steal, the kind them bullets cannot see, yeah.
Nothing's what it seems to be, I'm a replica, I'm a replica Empty shell inside of me I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me...
The light is green, my slate is clean, new life to fill the hole in me. I had no name, last December, Christmas Eve I can't remember. I was in a constant pain, I saw your shadow in the rain. I painted all your pigeons red, I wish I had stayed home instead, yeah.
Nothing's what it seems to be, I'm a replica, I'm a replica Empty shell inside of me I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me...
Are you gonna leave me now, when it is all over Are you gonna leave me, is my world now over...
Raising from the place I've been, and trying to keep my home base clean. Now I'm here and won't go back believe.
I fall asleep and dream a dream, I'm floating in a silent scream. No-one placing blame on me But nothing's what it seems to be, yeah.
Nothing's what it seems to be, I'm a replica, I'm a replica Empty shell inside of me I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me...

| 5. Kingdom For A Heart
[Tony Kakko]
What the hell are you standing there for, expecting me to help you, when I'm down myself Waiting my saviour, my world is flooding over, there's no room for air, I can't breathe, I would give a kingdom for one more day
I'd give - a kingdom For one more day as a king of your world I'd give a kingdom, for (just) one more day
What the hell am I waiting here for, expecting you to come and give away your life Just for a moment of my time, have a hole where I should have a heart, I'm made of wood, I'm falling apart, I would give a kingdom for one more day.
I'd give - a kingdom For one more day as a king of your world I'd give a kingdom, for one more day.
I'd give it all for a heart if I was a King I would give away my kingdom Treasures and crowns wouldn't mean a thing If I only had a heart, if I only had a heart...
Now I know I will never love you, I'm (a) man without a heart, I'm not allowed to feel human feelings I'm king of the land, I'm a ruler of seas, I'd give it away in a moment. If I only had one moment
I'd give - a kingdom I'd give a kingdom I'd give - a kingdom to just one more day
I'd give it all for a heart if I was a King I would give away my kingdom Treasures and crowns wouldn't mean a thing If I only had a heart
I'd give it all for a heart if I was a King I would give away my kingdom Treasures and crowns wouldn't mean a thing If I only had a heart, if I only had a heart [repeat] |

| 6. Full Moon
[Tony Kakko]
Sitting in a corner all alone, staring from the bottom of his soul, watching the night come in from the window
It'll all collapse tonight, the fullmoon is here again In sickness and in health, understanding so demanding It has no name, there's one for every season Makes him insane to know
Running away from it all "I'll be safe in the cornfields", he thinks Hunted by his own, again he feels the moon rising on the sky
Find a barn which to sleep in, but can he hide anymore Someones at the door, understanding too demanding Can this be wrong, it's love that is not ending Makes him insane to know
She should not lock the open door (run away, run away, run way) Fullmoon is on the sky and He's not a man anymore See the change in Him but can't (run away, run away, run away) See what became out of her man... Fullmoon
Swimming across the bay, the nite is gray, so calm today She doesn't wanna wait. "We've gotta make the love complete tonight..."
In the mist of the morning he cannot fight anymore A hundred moons or more, he's been howling Knock on the door, and scream that is soon ending Mess on the floor again...
She should not lock the open door (run away run away, run away) Fullmoon is on the sky and he's not a man anymore Sees the change in him but can't (run away, run away, run away) See what became out of her man
She should not lock the open door (run away run away, run away) Fullmoon is on the sky and he's not a man anymore Sees the change in him but can't (run away, run away, run away) See what became out of her darling man
She should not lock the open door (run away run away, run away) Fullmoon is on the sky and he's not a man anymore
See what became out of her man

| 7. Letter To Dana
[Tony Kakko]
Dana, my darling, I'm writing to you. 'Cause your father passed away, it was a beautiful day And I don't want to bother You anymore, I used to hope you'd come back But not anymore Dana.
My eyes might have betrayed me, but I have seen Your picture on the cover of a filthy magazine And I think my heart just cannot handle that Dana, my darling, would be so bad.
Dana my darling I'm writing to you 'Cause your mother passed away it was a really rainy day And I didn't mean to bother you anymore Your mother wished... Come visit your fathers grave, Dana
Your father disowned you because you have sinned But he did forgive you in condition he was in And I hope you won't do those things anymore Dana My darling I'm waiting for
Little Dana O'Hara oh, oh Dana my dear, How I wish that my Dana was here Little Dana O'Hara decided one day to travel away, far away
No, you can't surprise me anymore, oh oh I've seen it all before But it seems I cannot let you go Dana, Dana, Dana, Dana
And I think that I told you, I'd wait for you forever Now I know someone else's holding you, so, for the first time in my life - I must lie Lie's a sin, mess that I am in, Love is not the thing I feel know I promise you... I won't write again 'til the sun sets behind your grave
Dana, oh, Dana I'm writing to you, I heard you passed away it was a beautiful day I'm old and I feel time will come for me, my diary's pages are full of thee
Oh Dana O'Hara oh, Dana my dear, How I wish that my Dana was here Little Dana O'Hara decided one day to travel away, far away
Little Dana O'Hara oh, Dana my dear, How I wish that my Dana was here Little Dana O'Hara decided one day to travel away, far away [2 times]

| 8. Unopened
[Tony Kakko]
Another misspelled rhyme written in the book of time In one page I've spent all my life Ink ain't even dry. I've been living in a lie? How could I trust in someone of your kind?
And I got today another letter in the mail I can't read it here, not today And when years go by the unopened letter meets my eye I'm older and wiser, but still afraid
What if I read it and it is - full of love How can I face it if I am wrong
Do you feel? Do you care about me? Did you wait and love me all this time?
I am here, would you come and find me does your writing guide me thru this all
Oh oh oh
What if you'll tell me that I am wrong
Do you feel? Do you care about me? Did you wait and love me all this time?
I am here, would you come and find me does your writing guide me thru this all
Do you feel? Do you care about me? (...) I am here, would you come and find me, yeah Do you feel? Do you care about me? Did you wait and love me all this time?
(enveloping) I am here, would you come and find me does your writing guide me thru this all Do you feel? Do you care about me? Did you wait and love me all this time? I am here, would you come and find me does your writing guide me thru this all

| 9. Picturing The Past
[Tony Kakko]
In a house where no one never sleeps, lays a man who sees more with his eyes Picturing the past before him, in a bed, alone, with clothes on Paying for service he doesn't really need
With his eyes, he sees more love and lust more tears, far too much to handle Can't tell a soul, not this time, they'd lock him right up Too much of burning bushes too much for his weak soul
In his mind, oh so jaded, he's gone too far behind Of all the visions seen, this one makes him scream
He cannot live neither die in this world Burning sensation inside, you know how that hurts? Making up for the crimes of your life With scythe as your sword, you must fight 'till the end of time
Don't look behind, or you will fall through the time Only time can make you see behind of the curtain hiding secrets. Your time is up when you see the light
You can live as a noble man but when time, You won't be left behind
With the sound of time ringing in his head, He leaves the house where no-one sleeps Job well done knowing that at least one will be pleased
Hiding is always useless, pictures will fade with time
Seeking for a winner of the day, prize of the life is here Of all the visions seen this one makes him scream
He cannot live neither die in this world Burning sensation inside, you know how that hurts? Making up for the crimes of your life With scythe as your sword, you must fight 'till the end of time [2 times]

| 10. Destruction Preventer
[Tony Kakko]
I'm at home where my coat's hanging, I'm a shepherd of raising sun I believe and trust in my land, I control, I am in charge of Everyones future, red button is mine
Miss the times when I was roaring in the center of all mankind I said how they should live your life, I controlled, I was in charge, now I think the red storm will rise and destroy us all.
Heat in the center, destruction preventer If you release one, you release 'em all You can't defend Her, kneel down and surrender Your end is at hand, if they blow
If you go and have their way now, you will never have your choice Catch a breath of air in your lungs, it might be your never get to do it again because this now this is the end, yeah!
Oh oh oh
Yesterday I saw a light, moving fast across the sky Now I see glow, left and right, Stars are falling down tonight, I fear... And the pouring rain, eating my green grass, leaving a stain Never healing back to be the same
Now tell me who won here tonight The price, of winning worthless fight We'll make the same mistakes again Unless, this is truly the end
Heat in the center, destruction preventer If you release one, you release 'em all You can't defend Her, kneel down and surrender Your end is at hand, if they blow [3 times]

| 11. Mary-Lou
[Tony Kakko]
[Japanese bonus track]
Mamas put your babies to sleep, story too cruelsome for them this is. In Junior high she said goodbye to her parents and ran away with a boy. She left her family warm and kind, all of her friends said "you're out of your mind". Life of her own she would find, it's monday and she's gotta grind.
A Job as a waitress she sure was to find, beautiful face, mind of a child. Boy got her pregnant, Mary-Lou cried," For this I am too young oh why did you lie" You said "it's okay if we do it today", I was so scared that you would go away. "Despite all the papers been signed, mama take me back be so kind".
Only a child, reckless and wild, needs to come home again. He promised the moon but won't marry you. Nothing to do, eating for two, he's goin' out with someone new. Sunshine or rain, it's all the same, life isn't gray oh Mary-Lou.
Mamas do your children still sleep, in the safe of their cradles so sweet. Story I told you I have forseen, Your little angel ain't always so clean. Days to come aren't easy to see, You can change 'em but it isn't free. I see that you don't believe, ooo-oo, but you will see.

| 2. Weballergy
[Tony Kakko]
We only have one candle To burn down to the handle No matter what they say If you live like a man, You live in tales you tell
To rage and run like a fool You need no brain, your best tool Stay put and as they say Live like a man, the only way you can
You let the phone line bring it home to you The life, the lies, the dreams You cannot see the real thing underneath - Naked truth revealed
You type your name on one row To get dosed-up tomorrow You live in a CC dream, with your machine It's your goal supreme
You think you have it all now The wisdom, power, know-how Can't even think you're wrong This is the way the brain of a male is made
You let the phone line bring it home to you The life, the lies, the dreams You cannot see the real thing underneath - Naked light revealed
If you live, you will die You won't live forever stuck in time Ebb and flow, push and tow You must keep it real to find her
You let the phone line bring it home to you The life, the lies, the dreams Can't even see the real thing underneath - Naked light revealed
If you live, you will die You won't live forever stuck in time Ebb and flow, push and tow You must keep it real to find her
[Repeat Chorus]

| 3. False News Travel Fast
[Tony Kakko]
I Look out the Window, I see the sun in the sky, for now, It is not for me Stories of old times, Black Book of Lies with no reason nor rhymes No secrets, no disguise
Colour of the jealousy that hangs over thee Why don't you believe, You still do not know me
Books of true tales, Mirrors of tragedy Remorseful and pale As always These news travel fast
Walking cross snowfields, how can I trust in this path I leave Fading behind me Pleading not guilty. It's in the nature of humankind Installed in a man child
Life can -do it in many ways, toss dirt on your face But I am your man, and for you I do all I can
[Repeat chorus]
Standing on the station, watching your train slowly disappear I'm only shell of a man, I thought you knew who I am...
[Solos]
But go ahead and blame the fool You have beliefs that aren't true I have not lived the life you read from
The books of true tales, Mirrors of tragedy My life is no game It's a real shame the false news travel fast
Why do you keep me in the agony? "The Book of true tales" How can you hate and keep me in this agony? "The Mirror of tragedy" I haven't lied, I haven't cheated! "The Book of true tales" What do you think? What do you see when you look in "The Mirror of tragedy"
And I'm still your man, and for you I do all I can
Books of true tales, Mirrors of tragedy Remorseful and pale As in past, these news travel fast
The books of true tales, Mirrors of tragedy My life is no game It's a real shame the false news travel fast

| 4. The End Of This Chapter
[Tony Kakko]
[Intro] [Phone rings] "Hello? Well, well, how are you? Uh.. who is this? Who do you think this is? Stop it.. who is this? You know very well who I am.. You almost got away from me, didn't you? Oh my god.. you can't be.. you can't be! Ha ha Oui, oui, mon amour... c'est moi."
[Chapter One] I gave you my time I gave you my whole life I gave you my love, every dime They told me it was... a crime
Do you remember? Or did it all go in vain..?
[Chapter Two] I looked in the light, I sat in your coal mine The promise they made, I should keep? Make sure that we would never meet
I can't remember The promise I made so deep
Tell me that past times won't die... Tell me that old lies are alive
[Chapter Three] Across darkened skies, I travelled without a light I sank in the well of my mind Too deep, never to be found
I can't remember... How could you be so vain...
Tell me that past times won't die... Tell me that old lies are alive Love that expired too long time ago Kills me, it thrills me...
[Chapter Four] You have new love and It looks good on you I have never wished you dead, yet.
You can now have all the things I could never give to you Look out the window "c'est moi"...
[Chapter Five] I'm sorry, I am here I'm not sure if it should bring you fear I whisper in your ear Why is he here'
[Chapter six] While you are sleeping, I steal your ear ring Light you one candle, this anger I handle
They said I won't find you, but now I'm beside you I'm not all that stable You should know by now that you are mine...
Tell me that past times won't die... Tell me that old lies are alive
I tell you that past times won't die... I tell you that old lies are alive Love due to expire too long time ago Kills me, it will kill you... too
Past times won't die... I tell you old lies are alive Hate to conspire too long time ago Kill me, please kill me before
Tell you that past times won't die...
